I have been messing around with the format of the blog. No real reason, just nice to freshen things up sometimes, isn’t it? So what has changed?
A New Landing Page
Designed more for new readers than old. A very short introduction to me and the themes in the blog.
The main changes besides, the landing page, are on the headings. There are now links to introductory pages for each section. Dropdown underneath these will lead to the blog posts from each section.
- That Thing… Multiple Sclerosis: A bit the main category for this blog, although I would rather it wasn’t.
- Ways of Escape: Just about everything else. The nice stuff. I mean to write more here but… you know…
- Roam: An odd category. I just write stuff that I don’t really publicise. Just to mess around. Short, ignore SEO type stuff. Just subscribers will see these.
New blog entries are now below the landing page content. There is also a clearer subscription option. Sometimes I just don’t like doing the via InstaFaceGram, especially the Roam category. Subscription just gets a little more if you want it. If you don’t, I won’t mind. This is someone who wrote a post and, well, did not tell anyone. The world’s worst blogger!
Introductory Pages
For each of the sections there is now an introductory page, which can be reached via links above. Nothing earth-shattering, just some background. Nice to give a little context.
Why Change?
Sometimes it is just good to freshen things up a little. Keeps it interesting to write and ruffles things a little. Change keeps the mind moving and the initial landing page was a little empty. Good to give some explanation to someone who has just landed here or has not been here for awhile.
It is also a good exercise for me. A follow-on from the thoughts about why I bother. Changes come from the thoughts behind this. Just to keep it fresh and fun to do, even though some of the things are not that fun to write about. Good to let it out somewhere.
